Machine for profiling oboe, oboe d'amore, and English horn reeds. The matrix can be changed to profile baroque oboe reeds.
The automatic drive controls the stroke and lateral movement, which together form the profiling process. The stroke speed, large lateral step, small lateral step, and scraping width are programmable. The large lateral step is used to pre-scrape the reed, and the small lateral step is used to perform the final profiling cycle. The automatic drive is powered by an adapter with a USB cable or, for limited use, by the internal Li-ion battery. When the drive is powered by the adapter, the battery recharges. In a few minutes, you can disconnect the drive from the profiler to use it manually.
